Tours + Group 'Winery Experiences'
Open daily, year round and located along the Niagara Wine Route, we invite you to
taste samples of our VQA wines and tour the production facilities at the Niagara
College Teaching Winery, housed within the Wine Visitor + Education Centre, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Campus.

Sensory Lesson

Learn about Canada's only teaching winery, your knowledgeable guide will lead you
through a tasting and sensory lesson while you sample 3 VQA wines at our new Wine
Visitor + Education Centre Tasting Bar.

Educational Tour and Tasting Lesson
1 hour, minimum of 15 people

Experience what it is like to be a wine student. This guided tour will take you
through the New Wine Visitor + Education Centre, home of Canada’s only Teaching
Winery. A knowledgeable guide will give you an interactive tour of the vineyard
(weather permitting), production area and barrel cellar. You may see the students
in action in the classroom or lab. Understand the winemaking process and see how
Icewine grapes are tested for sweetness. This tour ends at the tasting bar where
you will sample 3 VQA wines while learning the basics of wine appreciation. All
students who complete the wine quiz correctly will receive a certificate from Niagara
College!

Tasting Room Sensory Class

This class is for those who are serious about wine appreciation. Experience what
it is like to be a student of wine. This one hour sensory lesson will give you in-depth
knowledge of how to taste like a professional. Your group may choose your subject
from the list of Mini Seminars. The class will be held in the state of the art sensory
lab, sample 4 VQA wines with each lesson, then to return to the Wine Store for shopping.

Culinary Institute, Greenhouse and Winery Tour
Minimum 15 people

Coordinate a tour that will include a visit of the Greenhouse, tour and tasting
at the Wine Visitor + Education Centre and lunch or dinner at the NCI Dining Room.
A self-guided Wetlands Trail hike can be added for a refreshing outdoor experience.
You can spend an entire morning or afternoon on campus, a great destination for
corporate groups and bus tours.

A delicious boxed picnic lunch is available as an option for groups to enjoy on
the patio at the Wine Visitor + Education Centre. Please note this option must be
