Barrel aged just enough to give it structure and body. Rich ruby colour with dark berry fruit, raspberry, blackberry and ripe cherry. Price $13.95 Pinot Noir 2006 The medium ruby garnet color that is so typical of cool climate Pinot Noirs, sets the scene for the inviting nose of raisins and cherries, with vanilla and spices from the oak as well as earthy barnyard notes. In the mouth this wine flows like satin and tastes of plum jam, cherry liqueur, vanilla, nutmeg and tea leaves. There's nothing boring about this wine-the mouth feel is firm and dry and the flavors are lingering and memorable. This is a wine for contemplation and will remain so for about two years. It is intensely colored with ruby-black highlights and sings ripe black fruit from the depths of the glass, in this case rounded out by aromas of tobacco and pepper with blackberry, rhubarb, vanilla and smoke. The mouth fell is round and full with concentrated black cherry and sour cherry flavors. There are some hints of vanilla and lots of clean, fresh acidity.
